Our Equipment

The studios at Air-Edel combine the best of state of the art and vintage equipment.

Studio 1 is based around the last Cadac studio console ever built. Pro Tools HD3 is the recording platform, although we also have an Otari MTR100 if you'd prefer to record to tape. A Dynaudio 5.1 system and a pair of Yamaha NS10s handle the monitoring. The outboard features Urei, Prism and Neve compressors, and EMT plate and Lexicon digital reverbs.

Studio 2 features a brand new Toft Audio Designs console and two Focusrite ISA130 mkII channel strips. Stereo monitoring is handled by Dynaudio M1s. Both Pro Tools HD1 and SADiE series 5 are permanently set up for recording.

Our enviable microphone collection has been steadily built up over forty years and includes three valve Neumann U47s and an original AKG C12, their reliability owing to many years of careful handling and thorough maintenance. As well as our vintage valve microphones, we have an extensive range of industry standards from over the years, such as Coles 4038s, Neumann U87s and KM84s, and the ever loveable Shure SM57.

All microphones are available to all studios, but it's best to request any one in particular when booking to ensure the other studio doesn't get to it first!

We have close relationships with many London equipment hire companies, so if you're after a particular piece of equipment which we don't have, let us know in advance and we will be happy to arrange hire.
